Bio

Letters to a liar is a four piece metalcore band consisting of Guitarist Tyler Goodman, Bassist Justin Bean, Drummer Robert Bendel, and Vocalist Keith Greggs II.
Our debut album, Still Breathing was released on most digital platforms and physical media May 4th, 2018 via DeadBridge Records. We are planning our third tour later this year. Self taught from the age of 14,its been Tyler Goodman's dream to be a professional musician for as long as he can remember. Early influences consist of Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, and mostly hair metal from the 80’s. As he got older and started writing his own music, his music taste got heavier. He was listening to bands like Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack and pretty much anything with breakdowns. "Since I started composing my own music, I’ve never stopped. I don’t really like to cover other songs, I just like to show what I can bring to the table." "When Lenny Kravitz and Jimi hendrix have a love child, you have an afro love child.Give that afro love child the highest shrills of satans finest demons and lows of deathcore circa 08 you have Keith Greggs II". Dipped in admiration for just about every genre, he just likes to make noise and get rowdy with audiences. In and out of various local bands since the age of 16 his influences range from early 90's grunge to the low slow beatdown hardcore, deathcore and metalcore genres of today. Justin Bean has been playing Jackson bass guitars for 5 years and Is a founding member of Letters To A Liar. He started learning slowly at first but then was absorbed into bands like Asking Alexandria, Avenged Sevenfold and The Amity Affliction. Robert Bendel has been a musician for roughly 10 years, around half of which I have been playing shows & recording. He joined Letters coming from a different genre and is still transitioning to this style. This shift has reshaped his music tastes and opinions which is actually new for him and Is also "very excited" to see where Letters ends up.
