Age of Solo, the fantastic 2008 debut disc from super-talented British chanteuse Lettie." ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY'S'POP WATCH' (December 2008).... "Each year it seems another quirky singer-songwriter emerges with the unique personality and talent necessary to make her mark. This year, for me, it could be Lettie" The Weblog Of Leonard’s Lair (September 2008)....."But the highlight is London-based singer-songwriter Lettie(myspace.com/lettiemusic) whose electro-pop All You Want is as honey-sweet as you'll hear.." The Guardian (July 2007)....*****"Age Of Solo is a colourful, tight collection of songs full of sweet, naïve melodies, offset with glowing and lavish production...Lettie’s songs are a masterclass in soulful, edgy avant-pop"....Wears The Trousers (October 2008).... "Nestling within every album there is a chance to find a piece of music which stands head & shoulders above so much, on 'Age of Solo' you just might find in on 'Mission'.It's nothing less than a three and a half minutes of bliss, you can not add or take anything from it". Thank you Mr Blue of http://www.league-online.com/novdec08.html...."Lettie should really be signed to a major label on the strength of this album and we also think that her album cover is second only to Parralox....'Age of Solo' is lovely and perfect late night listening to a glass of wine"another great review http://www.league-online.com/ (November/ December 2008)...."It is in Lettie’s “live” performances which set her apart from her contemporaries, with a breathtaking performance which has the audience on the edge of their seats hoping that Lettie achieves a masterful multi loop routine, which she inevitably does, and allows the audience to breath a sigh of relief"From Paul of Leeds Music Promotions Blog (Keep Music Live Feb 09) - Various Press

Bio

Lettie hails from Suffolk and in 2008 released two albums recorded with the American producer and writer, David Baron. The self released albums gained much acclaim as well as a number of placements on TV in the US. Lettie was then asked by BBC Radio 2 and Dermot O'Leary to do a Maida Vale session for the Electric Proms (2009) Introducing and was the special guest of Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) as support act on his 27 dates around Europe for his Secret Covers tour late last year (2009). She has also been the special guest of Chris Difford (The Squeeze) at the Half Moon, Putney (January 2010).

She is presently recording a third album with Mike Mason (Swallow 4AD) in Oxford for release later in the year. Mike performs with her live on keyboards and uses and manipulates the sound to create a kind of world that not only will engage the ear but also the eye as a result of his background in photography and music video directing as well as live visuals for bands such as Spacemen 3 and Spiritualised in the early 90s.
