...8 Second Ride is a fine hybrid of slick perfection and rural charm. Letty & Georgia are no strangers to the folk and country festival circuit where their largely acoustic sets consistently wow the customers.
There's plainly more of an edge and a fuller sound to the music here, as benefits the uptown production, but nothing of the tight vocal ease has been lost. Indeed, the down-home sweetness of both the vocals and 10 original compositions is on ample display. There is an honest pedigree to this music (Letty's last name is Stoneman, a family that needs little introduction to fans of vintage Appalachian music).

Bio
Letty & Georgia are seasoned performers hailing a music career of ten years and the release of three albums. They have opened shows for such greats as Sam Bush, Lucinda Williams, BR549 and many others. They have headlined stages at top notch events such as Riverbend, Chattanooga, TN and Piccolo Spoleto, Charleston, SC.
Their sophmore release was recognized by NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion" and reviewed in "Performing Songwriter" and "Goldmine" Magazines along with recieving substantial americana airplay. Newest release "plain and simple" received substantial americana airplay. "Don't Cry For Me" was a runner up in the folk categary for Song of the Year.
