Let It Out

Level Seven is an Original progressive rock/metal band based in Perth Australia.

Formed in January of 2010, members Craig Lawson (Bass) and Dave Dart (drums) recruited Scott Bell (guitars) after a hiatus from other projects and a keen interest in pursuing a new direction in original music.

Later in the year after writing several tracks and auditioning vocalists, the trio came to a unanimous decision in June, of employing the vocal talents of Luke Huntley to front the band. The juggernaut that is Level Seven was born.

Harnessing a large array of influences in the heavier genre of music, ranging from Korn, Tool, Vai, Sepultura, Pantera, Killswitch Engage and Mastodon, the members of Level Seven also draw influences from many other great bands from all genres of music. There’s too many to list. Facets of these influences can be heard in elements of the material that is being conceived by the group.

Having been involved in various other bands over the years, namely Soul Cellar, 618, Silence Defied and Bolsta, the members of Level Seven have many years of live performance experience and are also well versed in the studio.

In December of 2010 Level Seven rented a rehearsal space and set up their own studio to produce and record their debut EP. After many hours in the studio, tracking was completed and all was sent to Mr. Aidan Barton of Sovereign Studios for his professional touch on final mixing and mastering.

On the 1st of April 2011 it was announced that Level Seven’s, seven track debut EP entitled “Let It Out” was released. “Let It Out” became available to the public for online purchase at various online retailers including iTunes and Amazon. Some of these tracks can be heard in full at Triple J unearthed. Feedback thus far has been very positive with the group receiving some great reviews and comments on their debut compilation.

Some of our favourite quotes so far:

“I feel like I’m 16 and discovering Pantera for the first time, again”

“Level Seven is what you would get if Korn and Sepultura had a baby.”

Level Seven’s popularity is ever increasing as hits on their social networking sites are flowing thick and fast.
