"William Patrick (Levitation By Sound) is an extremely talented DJ and Producer . Over the years Patrick has helped me with numerous studio productions. He brings ideas , riffs , and alot of energy to the projects . Patrick's knowledge of Pro Tools and Ableton is fantastic and he is able to compose , engineer , and produce with ease . He has been djing for many years and I always enjoy hearing him play and the numerous Mix compilations , that he has given me . When I was in New Zealand I was a guest on a Radio Show he worked on, and it was a great time . The feedback we received was fantastic . For future events I would love to have Patrick dj with me. He knows how to set a tone for the evening , and that is extremely important . His work at the Hit Factory has increased his knowledge of music production from a creative to technical level. I am really looking forward to working with Patrick more in the future ."

Levitation By Sound, A.K.A William Patrick is originally from Miami Florida, and has always expressed a passion for music. He began his career in music as an enthusiast, always listening for the hottest new sound, attending early parties such as Divine Playground and many of the renowned weekend events at the Edge in Ft Lauderdale. There he teamed up with Illusions Productions and began promoting events for some of his favourite artists around FL. Illusions Productions events of note include Zen Festival, Trans-Atlantic Groove, Endo Mecca, and the annual Playboy “Funk Like a Bunny" Parties at the Winter Music Conference.
In 1998 he promoted Platipus Records Recording Artist, Terra Ferma; Donald Glaude, and Taylor, and in 1999 he moved to New Zealand, where spent his summers snowboarding as a teenager. In New Zealand he quickly linked up with the local dance music scene. He first brought Platipus Sound System to New Zealand, and while promoting a number of events in Wellington, DJ Ryan Salt recommended him for his first NZ DJ gig at Phoenix.
In 2000, on vacation in FL, he met DJ/Producer Austin Leeds, who had just gained recognition for his works on Bedrock. Patrick brought Austin Leeds to New Zealand for the Grande Opening of Hybrid in Christchurch, with one of the venue's directors, DJ Pyre. The gig was a huge success and another NZ National Tour Followed, bolstered by a massive national media campaign.
Back in the States, the year following, Patrick brought DJ Ryan Salt and Salmonella Dub vocalist, Tiki Taane, to the Miami Winter Music Conference to perform at the exclusive Andromeda City Yacht Party, in association with Alhia Online, Polareyes, Illusion Productions, DKNY and Fashion TV.
Patrick also promoted exclusive events for Rabbit In The Moon's first show in New Zealand, Danny Boy, Timmy Schumacher, and welcomed Austin Leeds and John Digweed to perform at New Zealand's most memorable New Year's Event, The Gathering.
As A DJ, William Patrick played regular guest slots on The Drive Show on Firm FM, and hosted the weekly Funk Cartel show on Flatline FM. He played wicked parties to massive crowds at venues around Wellington, including Curve, Studio 9, Mercury, Sandwiches, and Maya.
In 2004, he became the first US National in the World to have a NZQA Certificate of DJ Music, having trained under DJ's Raw and Shan, at Whitireia in the first curriculum of its kind.
He has since played on Oslo Nights in Norway and XM Radio, Drop Shop Radio, Orlando, Coyote @ Miami Ad School.
He has worked on three releases with Austin Leeds, including Rock "Resistance", on Inversus; Austin Leeds "Violence", on Tumbata; and Austin Leeds and Kobbe Present The Pressure "Daze" on Club Elite.
In 2005, He returned to the US to be closer to his family and complete the Associate of Science Degree in Recording Arts at the acclaimed Full Sail University. There he met his long time musical hero Medway who was actually his midi instructor, and received The Course Directors Award for Session Recording. Medway hooked him up with some recording gear, and from there he returned to Miami and interned briefly with Producer, Salaam Remi. Within a week he landed a position at the Hit Factory Criteria Miami where he worked as General Assistant, Librarian and Ad Hoc Assistant Engineer, and with Miami Studio Rentals. During his time at the Hit Factory he had the privilege of working on some amazing sessions with extraordinary artists, writers, and engineers, including 50 Cent, Birdman, Mariah Carey, Nick Harrison, Iggy Pop, Git Fresh and Rick Ross, Soul Diggaz, Patrick McGee, Jimmy Douglass, Hannon Lane, Ron Taylor and Marc Lee.

His biggest influences include Jane's Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, Union Jack, Future Sound Of London, Leftfield, Rabbit In The Moon, Keoki, LTJ Bukem, Tony Touch, Spearhead, Digable Planets, M5, DJ Herbie James, John Debo, Mara, Danny Howells, Sasha and Digweed, Austin Leeds, Medway, Stryke, Storm, Josh Wink, Aaron Carl, Derrick May, Danny Boy, Anthony Pappa, Slacker, DJ 19, and Massive Records.
