Lexemes is a one man instrumental noise rock/heavy metal band formed in 2005 and based in South Portland, Maine (USA). Exotic soundscapes are painted with near-brutal audio frequencies designed to evoke both a physical and emotional response from listeners. Lexemes crafts a “bleak ambient” portrait of madness, with each composition rooted firmly in equal parts self-deprecation and moral decomposition. Drawing inspiration from bands like Nocturnal Emissions, The Jesus Lizard, Christdriver, and Mutiilation, the music has evolved into a unique blend of instrumental noise and ambient metal.
