Lexi Scherr is a lyric-driven singer-songwriter whose melodies range from poppy to alternative to emotive. Her expressive arrangements built on strings, piano, percussion, and guitar serve as a canvas on which her vocals swell from smooth to soulful.
She has received Twitter praise from Cobie Smulders (star of How I Met Your Mother) and her vocal performances have drawn comparison to Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, and Fiona Apple.
After spending the last 7 months in the studio, Lexis debut album, Hearts and Hurricanes, is set for a Summer 2014 release. The 13-track album bubbles over with evocative lyrics, emotional depth, and catchy melodies that come together to tell 13 colorful and touching short stories.
