2018 saw singer, dancer, and performance artist, Alexis (Pellegrino) branch out on her own, after becoming a staple in various music projects and collectives across multiple genres, under the moniker “Lex Rex and the Dragons” she dropped her Debut EP Tides.
"Tides", led by off by the single “Ain't Nothin”, features a collection of retro sounding Pop, R&B, and Reggae that were more representative of the sound and her musical soul.
“The EP came from a really dark place. I was struggling with mental health and I just got out of a relationship. I was broken. If you listen to "Tides", sonically it sounds very happy but lyrically it is somewhat of a sad story with a hopeful ending."
Lex has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in the NY/NJ/PA areas. This past summer she played the PNC Bank Arts Center Amphitheater as a part of Warped Tour's final run and continues to be a popular artist with venues reaching out to her domestically and abroad which will make for a jammed packed 2019 of shows, visually stunning content and her unique brand of creativity which will coincide with another EP within the year.
