In an industry where those who dominate hail from New York City or the Dirty South, a new artist is emerging on the scene with an international appeal; gifted with lyrical skills and a voice that is instantly recognizable. Marked by destiny, Lexx is becoming a commanding voice in the hip hop game. He spits with a “wicked tongue” as he tells stories of his life which may surprise many as his out look on life is far different from the average 22 year old.

Lexx’s rise is not one that has happened over night. It has been a hard fought battle with tales of despair and heart ache. Since emerging on the scene five years ago he has had to strive to make a name for himself by performing at venues across the globe from London to New York City “blowing up the spot” where ever he goes. Along the way he has worked with some of the greatest producers in the UK and the USA such as: Teddy Ted & special K, Clark Kent, Clay Mack, Tony Lopez, Richie Da Face, JD aka Dready and Big Trev to name a few.

Striving to make his mark in the urban music scene Lexx has collaborated with MOBO Award winner Alyson Brown, to release his first independent release “Life” which is in stores now. He has also collaborated with Dani, Spit-it and Sanctuary Recording group “Red Root”. Lexx writes all his material and writes for other recording artists. He has also worked for production companies from the UK and the USA such as: Dice Recordings, Large Core entertainment, Tianna entertainments and Qizaar Records. Lexx’s tracks Luv 2 Luv Ya, Bounce, Global Billionaires and Life are creating quite a buzz in the clubs and across the airwaves. Lexx can be heard across the fm and am airwaves on BBC 1xtra, Choice fm, Baseline, Lighting Fm, Vibes, Genesis, Whoa, Powerjam and Blues fm. The video to his single “Life” can be seen on Channel U, MTV Base, Ben TV and BVTV.

Born in South London and raised between South London and New Jersey Lexx has developed an out look on life far different from most. Seeing things a young man shouldn’t see and experiencing things a youngster shouldn’t experience, this lead him to explore the negative side that life had to offer. The Stress of life introduced Lexx to the pen and paper and before long a poet was born. He began to write rhymes; rhymes worthy of stardom. With his flow and lyrical marvel he’s attracted many including young visionary Tida “Benz” Mercedes: He states, ‘I performed for the first time at a talent show where I met Benz she saw something special in me, and I knew this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Plus the poetry side of rapping got me open. You know how it is when you are young. You wanna showcase girls and guns. But I began to understand the power of words so I decided to write about things that where more important to me and people like me all over the world….”

As a young child growing up he listened to Bob Marley Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Queen, Tracy Chatman, Annie Lenox, and Paul McCartney. “I love those guys because they were all masters of their trade”. Each has had an influence on Lexx along with his experiences of life to enable Lexx to produce music that speaks for it’s self. Lexx is hot and destined to be a superstar.
