Bio
Born in Mo’ City TX and raised on Houston’s southeast side, the pint-size, four-foot eleven inch “Real
Life Pin up doll” known as “Lexxi ” has taken her experiences in life and placed them to rhyme and
verse.
At the age of thirteen Lexxi began performing in local talent shows with the teen girl group, Basic Style.
After the death of band member, Tristan Johnson, Basic Style was disbanded and Lexxi relocated to Katy
TX. While in Katy, Lexxi joined the James E. Taylor High School choir and learned to read music and honed her technical music skills.
In 2002 Lexxi entered the Houston Omega Psi Phi scholarship and talent search competition. After
winning her local division, Lexxi competed in the regional competition and placed 6th overall receiving a
college scholarship.
Lexxi then enrolled at the historically black Wiley College where she entered the Communications
program. At Wiley Lexxi began working at the college radio station, where she was embraced by the
East TX party scene. With hard work and discipline, Lexxi made a name for herself as one of the prominent
female emcees throughout the Ark-La-Tex.
In 2006 Lexxi began an internship with 103.7 The Beat in Shreveport, Louisiana and was taken under the
wings of East TX legendary Deejays; Quinn Echols, Mercedes, Daddy Ro, and Holly Hood Bay Bay of the
hit song Aye Bay Bay. Under their tutelage, Lexxi learned the art of stage presence and commanding an
audience.
Lexxi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and began working and continues to work for rolling out
Magazine, which she credits with teaching her the art of branding yourself as an artist.
Recently Lexxi teamed up with Propayne James, Jafunmi Entertainment and Support Street Music to
bring “Lexxi Presents: The Music & Madness Mixtape”. Filled with dirty south beats, Lexxi’s raspy
hard hitting rap voice and street lyrics prove that she is more than just a female’s artist she is the
people’s artist.
This mixtape will remind you why you fell in love with Hip Hop and why you’re glad artists like Lexxi
won’t let it die.
