Band Jazz Soul

"Houston Pop Shop"

It is absolutely swoon worthy that they are a brother-sister band and a mix of vintage soul and indie rock. Leybon was intuitive with the crowd and had everyone dancing. They handled their sound and set up professionally and quickly. I see Leybon going places! - Brittany Bly

"Houston Arts Market"

Once in a great while, a band appears with such a unique sound that people just stop what they’re doing and listen. With LEYBON, they start moving around too, perhaps even hum or sing along. I was lucky enough to walk into an art opening where Madeline Edwards was playing keys and singing jazz. I was mesmerized and when I heard the music of LEYBON, I fell in love. Their modern sound, harmony and mix of older styles of vocalizing has a wonderful unique quality. I truly believe, and everyone I know that has heard them, knew we were in the presence of greatness. - Mitchell Cohen

"Leap of Style - Houston Fashion"

I first heard Leybon at a local pop up shop event, and I was BLOWN AWAY! At the time I was in the midst of planning a launch party and fashion show for my Spring/Summer collection. I'd been planning this event with the vision of having live music but finding the right artists was challenging - Leybon met the challenge. They've got such a soulful sound, yet they still manage to bring an air of fun that was perfect for my crowd of young professionals. My guests were so impressed not only by the band's sound, but by their look as well. I must say, Leybon made me look good - they were an awesome complement to the fashion show and their overall professionalism and flexibility was much appreciated. I sincerely look forward to being able to book them again and I've recommended them to several other fashion and art industry professionals. - Karissa Lindsay

Still working on that hot first release.

Leybon started out as a small duo formed by the brother and sister team, Micah and Madeline Edwards. With a modern indie-soul style, combined with their West Coast jazz influence, they created a new sound that perfectly blends modern and classic elements of jazz and soul. As their vision expanded, they brought on some of Houston's finest jazz musicians to accompany them, now forming their 7-piece ensemble. Playing for some of Houston's largest venues and organizations, such as NRG Arena, Living Water International, and Houston Museum of Fine Arts, as well as across the state, they have made their mark in the area as one of Houston's youngest, and most promising up-and-coming music groups.
