Leyli was born in 2009 when Marie-Pascale Hardy migrated from Quebec (Canada) to London (UK) and got fed up with her real name.
Guided by an outstanding intuition, she writes indefinable and mysterious pieces. She jumps from French to English, from electric to acoustic guitars, from ukuleles to keyboards. She performs accompanied by her colleague Dimitri on drums.
Her influences vary between Diane Cluck, Hefner, Francoise Hardy, Cat Power, Nirvana, Grouper, Scout Niblett and Marilyn Manson.
