At a very young age, Lenard, an emerging rap artist from the Harvey,Illinois began learning the proverbial ropes of rap and hip hop. Gaining inspiration from the Easy E and Dr, Dre, he decided to make rap his number one hobby. Learning the importance of expression early, he spent his teen years harnessing the expression through his passion for music. "LG" is one of the most diverse undeniable forces of his rap label, setting him apart from other up and coming rap artists.
LG started his professional rap career in 1993 and by 96, he was signed to Dollars and Cents, a affiliated branch of Rap-A-Lot Records. He had the privelege of touring with the "Ghetto Boys" and Junior Mafia as well as being featured on Black Rob's 1st album. LG was a model in the first commercial for Fresh Wear, a clothing store in Chicago and he collaborated on many songs with the Chicago based group, Three Peice and Pink House, a pioneer of Chicago radio.
He has gained a huge amount of attention from fans because of his incredible stage presence, unique delivery, and eagerness for crowd participation. Along with being an important factor in the Chicago hip hop scene,, he also volunteers in his neighborhood with different community service and mentoring projects. He is very adamant about building, uplifting, and shaping his community to be a safe haven for everyone.
LG can be compared to Jadakisss because of his complex metaphors and his ability to tell a story through his raps. His goal as an artist is not only to sell records but to be the voice of his hood and any other people he makes interactions with on his road to success. Being a father to his kids and a role model for younger people is the driving force of his career as a rap artist. Put your ear to the streets.........You will hear about LG!!!!
