Born and raised in the 5th ward of New Orleans, LG grew up in a house full of musicians whose talents contributed to him discovering his own knack for spitting rhymes at the tender age of 7. A natural performer, the young artist eventually found himself entertaining peers annually at his elementary school talent show. Fast forward, as a student in high school, LG continued to write music, staying focused on his craft instead of easily getting caught up in the streets. His discipline paid off in 2011 when he decided to release his debut mixtape titled “Cinco,” released May 5, 2011. The well-received project garnered over 20,000 downloads, creating a regional buzz about the upcoming Southern MC.

Later that year, LG was invited to perform at the popular A3C Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta as well as SXSW Festival in Austin,TX. The exposure only helped to fan the flames “Cinco” had created, thus increasing the anticipation for his sophomore mixtape
“Synth Sounds” released in January of 2012. LG’s intuitive lyrics meshed with the classy and often jazz-inspired beats was the perfect mixture to catapult the N.O. native to the next level in the industry.

Since then LG has released 7 independent albums, recorded & performed at New Orleans Jazz Festival with late great Dr.John, had a video premiered on BET's 106 & Park, made appearances on Sway In The Morning, performed twice on Tidal's live stream for featured events; Lil Wayne's " Lil Weezyana Fest" & Mass Appeal's "Live At The BBQ" stage at SXSW, performed and judged events at BET Experience.

With official cosigns from Sway, Cortez Bryant, Lawrence "Law" Parker, Curren$y, actor Jason Mitchell, Pharrell and a feature on Snoop Dogg’s “Doggisode #18” websisode, LG has taken the industry by storm. “I want to be different from everything else out there. I want my music to be relatable and make others feel better about themselves, while being entertained.” explains LG.
