Liam Vance

From the beginning, Liam Vance has been passionate about music. Having grown up in Minnesota, Vance has immersed himself in a variety of musical experiences throughout his life; from writing songs and playing his guitar to performing covers of his favorite popular songs, as well as singing in school choirs and musicals. He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 2011 and enrolled as a music student at the University of Minnesota-Duluth later that same year, with an emphasis in voice performance. During his UMD years, Vance participated in nearly every vocal ensemble including: University Singers, Concert Chorale, Opera Studio and both Vocal Jazz ensembles. During his time with Vocal Jazz, Vance took part in three Cabaret shows, traveled to the regional ACDA in Des Moines, Iowa and Ireland in the spring of 2014, and to New York in the spring of 2015, where both groups performed at the world-renowned Apollo Theater, in the footsteps of some of Vance’s favorite artists, such as Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers and Eddie Cochran, to name a few. During his final semester at UMD, Vance had the honor of being the frontman for Jazz Combo III as vocalist. He recently graduated from UMD with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Communications. Now living in Minneapolis, Vance hopes to continue his musical career in all forms, and plans to go wherever the music takes him.
