“The music is for everyone...”
-Lindsay Brockington
Growing up in Manhattan was an amazing experience. I had Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall and CBGB at my doorstep. Whether it was Broadway musicals, outdoor concerts or the sweet sounds of the subway, music has always been a driving force in my life.
At an early age I began performing in local musical productions. My childhood dream was to be a professional singer. I am now living that dream.
In the year 2000 I was crowned Miss University of the Virgin Islands. My title gave me the opportunity to travel throughout the United States as a competitor in the Miss Historical Black Colleges and Universities finals and to South Africa as a contestant in the Miss Malaika competition. Both times I placed in the top ten.
While in the Caribbean, I hosted a television show (“Hot Ticket” TV2), morning radio show (105 JAMZ), was the spokesperson for Ford Metro Motors and started my first band Conscience.
After traveling through Australia and working on my music, I began collaborating with Parisian composer Julien Ome. In 2006, I formed the Lindsay Ilana Brockington’s International Dream Orchestra (L.I.B.I.D.O.).
My Dream Orchestra and I are currently recording our first album “America”.
