Lie In Wait

It all began as an experiment. Not the type that involves sweet-talking your girlfriend into covering herself in whipped cream after a lively night of hob-nobbing at the local watering hole, but an experiment nonetheless. It's not that cool or rather it's not that type of cool. After banging around in various bands, projects, and other noise-making entities, the members of Lie In Wait found themselves at an impasse. The need to make music was there; the outlet wasn’t. Although all three members qualify as seasoned musicians from all walks of life, they found themselves without the necessary outlet. Rock-n-roll jam sessions were scheduled and a sound was born. Birthing the sound would prove far more natural than attempting to describe it. As the saying goes, writing about music is like dancing about architecture. More than one band has claimed to have an eclectic sound and in that respect, Lie in Wait is no different. Although Lie in Wait has a number of influences from all ends of the musical spectrum, they have achieved a cohesive sound; a sound both brand-new and familiar.
