The love for rap and the desire to be an artist has always been a dream in the making. Rather on the playground or on the schoolyard, is where you would find young Kevin (aka Lifesupport) writing the lyrics to another song that he would soon preform for his neighborhood peers. From the days of childhood Lifesupport was destined to be. However, as in many cases the roads that one must travel in order to fly are not always visible at the moment. After graduating high school, Kevin joined the United States Navy in search of finding a career, and in honor of the legacy set forth by his father. It was during this period of time that the love of his life, God and music were beginning to manifest. After the completion of a ten year tour of duty in the US Navy, Kevin bid farewell to his enlisted family and went on to further his aspiration for the ministry and music. Throughout his life Lifesupport had often envisioned how his love for music could become an asset in the ministry. And so it was in was in the year of 2001, that Gospel Xpress Mobile DJ Ministries was birthed, co founded by Kevin Waters and his dear friend Gary Bowen, which later grew and went on to include Gospel Xpress Radio, (a world wide internet radio production) and the heart of Kevin’s place in the ministry was beginning to beat. Soon after, in the year 2003, Kevin became the founder/pastor of Gospel Xpress Ministries of Orlando FL.
After that he teamed up with his nephew David Alexander (Praize) and the gospel rap duo “Proverbz” was formed with Kevin thus assuming the name “LifeSupport”. Soon after, Proverbz began to travel throughout the Central Florida area in places such as Orlando, Gainesville, Ocala, and Sanford, inspiring others through their anointed ministry.
After several years of touring, the dynamic duo decided to go their separate ways. And now, standing stronger than ever is one man, with one mission, having one vision; to revive the lives of those in need. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to some and present to others…LifeSupport!!
