Lifted came together in late 2005, bringing together six musicians with over fifty years collective experience on their instruments. Since that time, Lifted has played to many enthusiastic audiences in local clubs, as well as two Shawnee Cave events sharing the bill with a few national acts, including Oteil Burbridge of The Allman Brothers.

Lifted plays all original material with a surprise cover now and then. The music is an eclectic blend of styles ranging from rock to ambient jazz. We have a solid tribal feel, with two hand drummers and a trap drummer laying down the beat, danceable bass lines, and two dancing guitars guaranteed to capture the attention of the crowd. We are always evolving as musicians and the music reflects this with a quality evocative of freedom and celebration. We work from the principals that the simple gives birth to the complex, and that the music inside all of us has something of its own to say and teach.

We are slowly putting together an interactive light show that grows with each gig. Also, we have a professional p.a. and are always working to improve the overall sound. In other words, we understand that a show should be a show and we have that in mind while we work towards a more complete sensory experience.
