"Sudbury isn't all about nickel and hockey"

"I listened as local rockers, "Lightmares" performed an energetic set that had the crowd on their feet, dancing and absorbing the powerful beats. One of the bandmates told me they had been playing together for eight years. They displayed a lot of energy onstage while singing original songs they had written. What a treat it was, to be out on a Sudbury Saturday night, enjoying amazing music, art and company. Sudbury isn't all about nickel and hockey, and you don't have to go to bigger cities to find soul-lifting entertainment like this in your neighbourhood."

- The Northern Life

"Local Music Showcase Great Success!"

"Hands down, the best performance of the night was put on by Sudbury's own Lightmares. Youthful energy, tight musicianship and a whole lotta volume all made for a performance that would've made Pete Townshend blush."

- Sudbury Living Magazine

"A Review of Lightmares - Lets Get This Partly Started"

"You'd be hard pressed to find any indie debut released this year that has the same kind of replay value as Lightmares "Lets Get This Partly Started". - Discmunch Magazine

"Young Musicians Rock The Stage"

"As I watched Lightmares tear up the stage, I couldn't help but feel as if I had been witnessing rock and roll history in the making."
- Northern Alternative Magazine

Bio

The boys in Sudbury, Ontario's Lightmares have been captivating audiences with chaotic stage performances of their hook laden, high voltage punk rock since before they were legal drinking age. If you can imagine what it might sound like if Brian Wilson had produced Funhouse, then you're half way there. Pounding rhythms, infectious melodies and a razor sharp wit make Lightmares one of Canada's most exciting up and coming young acts.
2011 saw the release of their debut full length album 'Lets Get This Partly Started' as well as a supporting tour of Eastern Canada. A new full length release is planned for the summer of 2012.
