Bio

Light Noise has risen on the strength of their debut release, live shows and cutting-edge song writing. As a band they kick it live with layered harmonies, excellent musicianship, instrumental tightness and a dash of modern trickery. They draw on elements of rock, pop and grunge, making one big wall of sound forged by many sonic bricks.

Not many have a set of lungs like powerhouse vocalist Luke Price. Like a rollercoaster of emotion, his voice ranges from raw and bellowing to soothing and warm in an instant. This guitar gem also fills the room with extravagate chords and delayed patterns adding waves of sounds to the mix.

Responsible for the second of three part harmonies is Joel Henderson. His bass lines are the backbone of Light Noise, effortlessly blending traditional elements of rock and grunge with raw energy and emotion, thus creating a uniquely light and melodic sound that majestically fills in spaces of brilliance.

The unstoppable driving force and newly harmonising presence is Blake Horton. His youthful edge and awe-inspiring energy rings true in every striking blow on his kit. This drives the band to carve out their own niche of noise-filled intensity and raw rock sensibilities.

Their reputation has seen the band playing along side the likes of Silverchair, The Beautiful Girls, Something With Numbers, Evermore, Gyroscope, Operator Please, Trial Kennedy, End Of Fashion and British India. In addition, Light Noise is no stranger to the notable smaller festival scene and has been featured at several events.

Light Noise's sold out debut release is a sprawling and ambitious affair that covers a breathtaking amount of musical ground. From rousing rock riffs to fantasy string laden pieces, infused with a vocally distinct Australian feel. The recording was engineered under the watchful eye of Dan Clinch (Grinspoon, Bluejuice, The Vine's) and released through Reign Records/MGM. All 4 tracks were nominated in the 1233ABC Music Awards winning them "Rock Artist of the Year", with film clip for Don't Run'k receiving airplay on national ABC Television Program Rage.

Possessing the right attitude to hard work, consistent travel, extensive promotion and self belief has seen Light Noise receive a warm welcome from both home and interstate audiences. They continue to grow recognition with a strong online presence, national television exposure, spot radio play and through industry events such as the UncharTED band competition.

Excited about the future plans, the lads can often be heard sprouting that time honoured classic rock statement, "let's run it up the flag pole and see who salutes."
