Lights Of Ara began like most bands do these days. Steve Atchison and Bryant Ortiz met in the summer of 2010 through online ads Bryant and Steve had placed while searching for bands. From there they began to write and record all new music while searching for the right rhythm section.
After months of auditions, bassist Mike McMahon was asked to join the band in October 2010 followed by drummer Steven Scotch.
The bands first single “Unfamiliar” was produced by Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Creed) and has been played on 101.1 WJRR’s Native Noise numerous times. They plan to record their first full length debut album in the summer of 2012.
Lights Of Ara is a fresh band in the Florida music scene but has already proven to be capable of packing venues and putting on an unforgettable show. This is just the beginning for Lights Of Ara.
