LIGHTSPEED

LIGHTSPEED is a powerhouse quartet from Livonia, MI originally formed in 2005 - featuring Chris Tweedie on lead guitar, Dan Marschner on bass, Don Murphy on percussion and Mitch Range on vocals.

Combining blues, metal and a little bit of punk into a unique and original modern mix, LIGHTSPEED is the kind of pure and unadulterated rock and roll that modern rock audiences crave!

With a diverse musical background from its four members - LIGHTSPEED's influences range from Alice in Chains to Zeppelin...and many points in between.

Our drummer is an avowed Deadhead as well as a devout fan of both Rush and Tool.

The lead guitarist is a jazz fusion aficionado with a love for Steve Vai and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

The bassist is a dyed in the wool metalhead whose favorite bands include: Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Pantera.

The singer is the most eclectic with an equal love of The Beatles, Van Morrison, Iggy and the Stooges, Marvin Gaye, The Black Keys and Rage Against the Machine - to name just a few.

And with a broad musical pedigree like that, it is no wonder that LIGHTSPEED is putting out some of the most diverse and powerful original material around!!

The band has played over 100+ shows in the Detroit metro area - including appearances at the Token Lounge, Hayloft, Blondies, Simons and The Ritz.
