We. Are. Lights.

Formed in the sunny vales of Reigate, Surrey and attempting to reignite the love affair with music.

For every moment, there are words, and for every word there is a song that can be taken out of it and brought to life - we try to bring out the colour, struggle, love and hope of life and living.

Formed as 'Letdown' in 2006, the band have continued to go from strength to strength with a combination of melody infused with some darker and more contemplative moments. Chiming guitars and uplifting bass, fuelled by crashing drums and plaintive-but-hopeful vocals have led to the band gaining success from various avenues.

Voted Playmusic magazine's 'Best Unsigned Indie Band In Britain', the band have also had BBC radio exposure, with their tracks 'Words (You've Gotta Say)' and 'Out Cold'.

Following on from their first magazine press, a 4-star review of their 2-track 'Solitude' single from influential web music source, the band received further positive reviews, from both fans and critics alike, leading to them being finalised in 2008's FIB Heineken Benicassim Festival competition as part of a Top 30 with their single 'Solitude'.

After being released on global iTunes stores, 'Solitude' was followed by 'Into The Morning' - and EP of four new tracks ('We Need Heroes', 'Tide' and 'Listening In', alongside the nostalgic, lamenting 'Fall Down') introducing a darker and more complex sound to the band.

In 2009, the band were again finalised into the FIB Heinkenen Benicassim Festival competition (supported by with 'Tide' and 'We Need Heroes', and are currently in the studio preparing their latest efforts for the world.

From their first magazine interview from 2008:

"We hope we bring the sound, noise and emotion of what we create to everyone. It's a ride, and we want to take as many people with us as we can".

Much love.
