LiiLa Rox

She writes. She sings. She entertains.

The name “LiiLa” [pronounced lee’-lah] literally means “Night Beauty.” The name “Rox” on the other hand, is a respelling of the word “Rocks” signifying her switch from merely writing and producing hits to rocking them.

Born Lisa Danielle Boush in Washington, DC's notorious Southeast, LiiLa had a difficult start in life.  After losing both parents to drugs, from age five, LiiLa was shuffled between family members, including that of her oldest sister, who then was married to famed producer Jerome "Rome" Jefferson, whose credits include producing Mya, Pink, Fergie and Missy Elliot.

While under Rome's tutelage, LiiLa developed her talent for writing and producing.  She would spend hours in the studio, studying great artists and creating her own unique voice.

Musically, LiiLa does not easily fit into a particular genre.  Switching from her familiar R&B roots, LiiLa’s music is more a blend of urban electronica and pop, a sound that she calls “hip pop”.  Her voice is often seductive and light, but don't be fooled, this girl can BLOW. Her influences cross cultural lines, from early Madonna and Prince to Mariah Carey and Katy Perry.

LiiLa Rox exhibits a matchless individuality in her personality and sense of style.  LiiLa’s look is as unique as is her heritage which includes African-American, French, Indian and Barbadian ancestry. Her style is daring, if not borderline narcissistic.

And her personality is well…difficult to describe, but wonderful to experience.
