"Likewise_Local Spotlight_"

Vacaville, California is soon to be put on the map, marked with a star thanks to Likewise, the newest alternative rock band to hit the scene. Formed in 2003 when guitarist Joe Webb and bassist Chris Collins teamed up with drummer Joel Armijo, the band formed a solid set list yet still lacked one final piece, another guitarist. After finding Joey G, the band was finally complete and Likewise began writing songs and playing shows every weekend to spread the word. However, troubled waters lay ahead. Collins and Joey G. soon left the band but Joe and Joel were still determined to keep a good thing going. They eventually filled the void with bassist Tony Bullocks and then set out to expose themselves to the hungry Vacaville scene. Having perfected a rock sound all their own, Likewise are now hoping to take their passion for music on the road in an effort to promote their 4-track EP featuring, “Fear Not,” “To Whom It May Concern” and “Go Home.” The stand out song “One Man Dance” is a sort of sing-along love-song that will stay stuck in your head well into the next day and their driving choral arrangements prove why the local scene needs more bands such as Likewise.

Bio

Young, fresh, and edgy those are three words that describe Joe, Joel, and Tony also known as LIKEWISE. The band started in 2003 and they hold nothing back. Picture Foo Fighters meets Blink 182 meets Red Hot Chili Peppers…all with a unique style and flavor but all with a melodic sound and an energetic edge. Along with their sound, they possess the drive and perseverance to do what it takes to get to the top. Experience a live show and see the energy that is given off just overtakes the audience. To their credit thus far: Winner of the Battle of the Bands; featured artist on 98 Rocks, playing major Bay Area venues like The Pound in SF, Blake’s on Telegraph in Berkeley, and Jillian’s at the SF Metreon.

The future for this band is to release an album and expand their constantly growing fan base. Branching out from the Bay Area and into Southern California, getting a record deal, and taking over the US.

What is comes down to for Likewise is that they love what they are doing and they want more!!!
