"Sonic Boom: The Week’s Hottest Music"

Likwuid is dope because she can rap circles around most of everyone’s favorite rappers. But she also has a good ear for beats and melodies, so her songs always flow (no pun intended) and make for good iPod material. The latest from the NYC-via-North Carolina lyricist is “Circle of Life,” a hardcore offering...

"Likwuid :: No Regrets :: Sano Business as reviewed by Mike Baber"

“Some emcees simply have a way of commanding the listener's attention, whether it's with a distinct voice, a sharp delivery, or a funky rhyme scheme, allowing the listener to get lost in the music not think twice about skipping a track. While it's rare to find a full-length album with enough depth and creativity to make every song a worthwhile listen, "No Regrets" admittedly has an advantage in this respect, given that it's tough to get tired of an album that's only six tracks in length unless there is a complete lack of originality. Nonetheless, female emcee Likwuid's self-proclaimed final EP pulls the listener in from the beginning and never lets go, making....”

"Top 10 Female Emcees Who are not Nicki Minaj"

“Likwuid Stylez is an excellent freestyler so come correct if you're battling her or you will get schooled. The Southern girl has an eclectic musical taste, and each of her songs reflects her mood at the moment. One minute she's breaking down social issues in her Carolina twang and the next she's threatening to stuff a camel toe in some fella's mouth. ”

"Likwuid – No Regrets EP"

Way back when I first started doing music journalism, Likwuid Stylez, who’s a rapper from Columbia, SC, was one of the first artists that I ever interviewed.

Fast forward years later, and Likwuid is still doing her thing up in the big city of New York.

She just released a new EP, so all my SC music enthusiasts should check out my girl Likwuid’s project at Amazon here.

Also, she did a feature with sohh.com and you all can check that out, as well as a video called “Goddess Love” after the jump. SC all day. - Writer's Block Media

"WAX Freshlook – Likwuid | No Regrets EP"

by Ural Garrett

Born and raised in South Carolina but making her base in New York, Likwuid has successfully come off as a quirky hybrid of Hip-hop’s two distinctive musical styles. Whether she’s representing her home in “Carolina” or hilariously challenging sex roles “Camel Toe,” Likqwuid has come off having a pretty nice understanding of the genre. To capitalize off the success of her popular release last year, Gummy Bears and Champagne, “L for Love” has released a six track EP entitled No Regrets.

Though it may be a little disappointing to know that Likwuid has laid some of her “southerness” to the side, she’s as lyrically at the top of her game and even a little creative conceptually. If “Camel Toe” was her comical ode to raunchy sexual suggestive songs that are “for the ladies,” “Sight for Sore Eyes” featuring Adrienne Mack-Davis and Donwill of Tanya Morgan takes a serious look into gender roles in a way that hasn’t been explored in rap since Q-Tip’s “Manwomanboogie.”

The woman empowerment continues on the outstanding Tiye Phoenix assisted “Queendom Anthem (Learn How To Fly).”

Eternia and Rigoletto Rockwell lend some verses to the laid back jazz feel of “L is for Love.” As a whole, Likwuid is as focused and lyrically tight as ever and No Regrets should hold fans over until a proper sequel to Gummy Bears and Champigne is released. - On Wax Magazine
