Sheldon Trotter, better known as Lil Frostbyte or just Frostbyte, is a rapper/singer/producer from Hopkinsville Kentucky. Frost states that music provided him an escape from the temptations of the streets when he was a teenager. His first big break came when he landed a recording contract through Hoopla Worldwide/LRT. He recorded the popular club song Barbee Doll and the hip hop conscious track Aww featuring Big V of Nappy Roots while on the Hoopla imprint. In 2016 Frostbyte left Hoopla to join the Blackfly Music family under the G-Unit south brand. Frostbyte's latest endeavors has him teaming up with fellow Kentuckians Kyng of Da Beatz productions for his upcoming "Top Of Da South" project. The project is scheduled to feature Big V of Nappy roots, Young Buck and Charlie P. along with other Black Fly label mates. Frost states the project is a return to the kind of music that put Southern hip hop on the map. His latest single InstaFamouse is a smooth blend of Southern Hip Hop with a little R&B in the mix. The track has been getting positive reviews and radio adds from DJ's across the country. The Top Of Da South project is scheduled to be released during the third quarter 2017.
