"Review of Lilac's Daughter"

Lilac's Daughter is a songwriter who long ago should have released an album and by now be a part of the new exciting music scene here at home (Denmark) with coworkers such as Ohland and Agnes Obel.

An incredible present voice in a simple arrangement that just creeps under your skin.
And then there are the words such as:
"can you believe it's bin more than two years,
I'm wondering if we'll get them back".

With an insight and presence the rhetorical question is being answered indirectly.
Also in the words:
"And I know that you care,
cause you said so", she is working with life's delicate and quiet understated humor and you see the situation for yourself.

Also in the other song "Let Go" there is a great poetic fill in the laconic words:
"At a point where the only way to go is to go slow".

I think we are close to being in the same class as great songwriters such as Emiliana Torrini and I am looking forward to see which record company comes first with a record deal. - DR/Steffen Brandt

Bio

At 16 Sif Jacobsen From Copenhagen, Denmark Better known as Lilac's Daughter decided to pick up the spanish guitar her father had left her, She quickly started learning how to sing, play and write on guitar. That soon evolved into writing her own original material, though only for her self. For years playing music was nothing but a hobby that she kept personal and intimate, after years of songs and writing she finally decided to explore the options of playing live for a crowd, for someone who could listen, she found her first step a small one, a safe one some could say but for Lilac's daughter that was just the beginning, playing a open mic night. This took her across the world which led to playing open mic's in Portland, Oregon where she met Steve Huber, who produced on her recordings and first EP in February 2011.
The EP has led to many great things amongst great review from the lead singer Steffen Brandt from the danish band TV2. And an audition for a singing contest on the danish TV channel TV2.
