Bio

Darrick Lil “D” Thompson comes from a typical family with a typical life, born and raised in a low income, subsidy area of the south side of Chicago. He has overcome obstacles of adolescent decisions and into manhood, Lil "D" has turned his life over to Christ {you know, the Rebirth}.
Now that he is saved and full of the Holy Spirit, he has been studying, getting closer to God. Now it's time to win souls for the body of Christ. So the best way that Lil “D” knows how is through his music ministry.
Therefore, he would like to introduce you to his new label that he has established, "On The Map Gospel“. It's a hardcore label with spiritual messages. Lil “D” considers his label to be the bridge from the streets to the church.
With that revelation from our Father, Lil “D” established a radio show on WYCA 102.3 FM radio station, that truly bridges the gap. There, God has blessed many souls through Lil “D”, as he reaches the mass of young, old, lost and weary souls through hip hop gospel. Lil “D” has accomplished many personal goals, as such, launching his gospel hip hop label, acquiring his own gospel hip hop radio show, as well as working along very prominent men and women of God. Lil “D” performed his hit single, refreshing rap with understandable and relateable lyrics, “God Said I Can Have It” to inspire thousands of souls at the Temple of Praise Church in Chicago in conjunction with NBA star Dwayne Wade, he has graced Darryl Kings radio show, WYCA Chicago, with numerous appearances and has been keynote speaker and performer for many youth events, concerts and seminars throughout Chicago land. He has given back to his community in many ways, including volunteering for the Feed The Children Foundation, where 400 families were fed. Lil “D” will also be breaking into television this February, on WJYS with Donna McAfee on “West Coast Praze”.
Lil “D” has accomplished many goals through Christ, but he knows that there are even more to come.
