"South Carolina"

"Everyone bring how they is and how they act straight to the table. I'm trying to bring that country flavor to the game-something new to the game. - Murder Dog Vol.11 #4

"SheKeese Hip Hop Reveiws"

"...also one of S.C.'s most ready to blow rap artist Lil Ru. You name it, this kid got it; stage show, freestyle, ability to write songs AND make hit songs, charisma...this kid is already a star. And he continues to prove it on this latest single "King of The Parking Lot". I mean seriously, I cannot understand how artists with this much talent fly under the radar while artist that can rhyme their way out of a paper bag get lucrative record deals. One listen of "King..." should change anyone's mind. One word...hit." - Free Times Columbia, S.C.

"S.U.R.E. DJ Coalition"

LIL RU "KING OF THE PARKING LOT"
"Excellent vocals and street-wise lyrics supported by a very catchy chorus on top of a snappin' & bootie shakin' rhythm track. This title contains all the right musical ingredients to happen on the streets of the Big Apple."

Bobby E. Davis

Bio

Lil Ru born and raised on the forgotten dirt roads of Ridgeway, South Carolina has over come many obsticles to get to where is. When his mother who was strung out smoking crack died when he was only eight years old and a father he never knew, his Grandmother did what she could do for him as long as she could. She died just two years after his mother died, leaving Ru to fend for himself at a very early age. After litererally being raised by the streets he had his first Independent Record Contract bought out by a larger independent label based out of ATL, GA (How U Love That Records) Lil Ru started making noise on the charts at the age of 16, when he charted on Billboard hot 100 with "Will Destroy" charting at #4 on the Hot 100 Rap and "Shawty What you Doing". "Will Destroy" can still be heard in clubs in the south to this day. After his contract obligations were up with How U Love That Lil Ru formed his tight nit click "Head Hunters" or aka Double H. He went on to help others chart with features on "Can't Hang" which featured Dayvne & Collard Greens that hit #59 on the hip hop/R&B charts. He eventually inked a deal with Elektra at the age of 18 which fell apart when WEA restructured and let Elektra's newest signed artist go along with numorous A&R staff personel. Lil Ru has since hooked up with Bout What Records where he is fine tuning his Radio Hit making skills and getting ready to take the radio waves over. Through out this whole time he has also helped build Head Hunter Records. Be ready to hear a lot from LIL RU starting with his newest single "King Of The Parking Lot" which is now getting radio play and heavy strip club rotation through out the Southeast. He was also a major part of the most popular club hit in South Carolina for the last Year and a half. "Hood Hard" by Double Dose featuring Lil Ru on Gelly Tight Records has consistantly rocked clubs across the Carolina's with Lil Ru taking the helm and ripping his verse to stardom.
