Bio

I started writing rap when I was about 12. My first influences were my parents - both songwriters, both musicians. So I got The Cars and Rick James and Steely Dan and Tull and Pink Floyd by osmosis. Then came my influences of choice...Nirvana, Bone Thugs -N- Harmony, Bush, Master P, Easy E and Z-Ro to name a few.

Performance-wise, I played the trumpet through school and later picked up kit and hand percussion, and guitar. While being exposed to alot of rock, jazz and blues, I was drawn to the hip hop sound. I think I was about 13 when I began experimenting with sequencing and beats on my mah's keyboards. Her band always rehearsed at our house, so her keys were almost always set up. I've often played drums behind my dad's guitar experiments and Santana-ish musings. For me, making music at home has always been encouraged.

In high school, I found myself expelled and in trouble with the law. I turned to music (translated: I holed up in my room for months with a mic and a PC) to help keep me busy and stay out of trouble. I returned to my local high school and walked with my class in '04.

You don't need to believe anything I spin. If you can find the truth in it, then that's enough.
