Lil Sef started out as a singer and acoustic guitar player who loved the musical part of Rap beats. One day while practicing his songs, he played Rap music in the background. Lil Sef's new style of music was born.
Lil Sef first performed his music in 2006 at a birthday party gig for three of his friends. After being named ACRN's 2006 Best New Artist, Lil Sef continued on working to finish his 1st album, "Breakout". Also at this time, Lil Sef shot a music video for one of his songs, "Crib Like Chillin". This video, which is on YouTube, gained Lil Sef attention and popularity in the Athens, Ohio area.
Currently, Lil Sef is working on new songs for his 2nd Album as well as producing HipHop beats for some of the rappers in Athens.
