Lil Spazz

Jordan Owens was born in Memphis, Tennessee to a soon-to-be single mother who ultimately raised him to be head strong and self-reliant, with some help from his father. At the young age of only nine, Jordan already had a strong interest in music. He was strongly inspired by Tupac, Yo Gotti, and Nipsey Hussle. Jordan first picked up the pen and started writing for school projects when he realized he had a real love for it. Nicknamed ‘Lil Spazz’ from an “Old head” as Jordan called him; he got behind the studio mic for the first time at the age of 14 when a friend, who had previous done recordings for the old 3 6 Mafia, invited him and two of his friends to his studio to see what they could do. Jordan says, “The first time I wasn’t even much nervous.”

When he was 15, Jordan was part of a duo with his friend known as ‘Yung Tae’ from Glenview, but that didn’t work out and he continued ‘dolo’. He continued to work on his songwriting and freestyling, posting tracks on his myspace page, trying to grow his fan base the grass-roots way. In 2006, Jordan released an independent mixtape album called Street Soldier. This album was an all rap album. “I didn’t really step out the box till my Junior year with rap, RnB and a lil pop” Jordan says.

Jordan ‘Lil Spazz’ Owens attended college at The University of Louisiana at Monroe for one year before moving to Atlanta, Georgia where he now currently resides. He is now attending The Art Institute of Atlanta majoring in Audio Production. With school and music both equally important in his life at the moment, among being busy as a student and songwriter, Jordan is also an engineer, musician, and the CEO of the uprising label Top Flight Muzic. With upcoming tours and the soon releasing of a new album, Jordan plans to quickly rise on the ladder with his music career.
