Since January of 2005 Limelight has provided venues with energetic cover music and fun, bringing the sounds of multiple decades together with a new, innovative blend. Limelight’s goal is simple: To provide the venue an entertaining performance that suits the mood and appeals to the crowd appropriately. As a five piece band Limelight’s set list contains the widest variety of music available in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. One will hear classic to modern rock, Motown to hip-hop, alternative to pop, as well as surprise twists on old favorites! Limelight caters to special events and offers many in performance crowd participation activities such as birthday songs, dance-offs and providing prizes and beads to contest participants. Limelight consists of Rob Barnes on guitar, Tino Grey on vocals, Kate Martin on drums and vocals, Olivia McNutt on bass and vocals and Ryan McNutt on guitar and vocals. With combined totals of decades of band experience, Limelight has reinvented the idea of a cover band, going beyond merely playing the standbys, providing bars, clubs and events with a fresh sound and an upbeat mood. And for those smaller venues where drums are a bit much, Limelight also provides a four piece acoustic set catering to a more laid back scene! So whether you are looking for a rocked out dance night or a chilled evening of acoustic favorites, Limelight is your band!
