Lina Bellard’s very personal technique allowed her to take part in projects that were demanding, innovative and in line with the musical tradition from Brittany or other regions (Roland Becker’s « Immrama », "Krenijenn" / Fest-noz Electro). She also performs alongside singer Rozenn Talec, with whom she put together the show « Jagrinan ».
She spent a large part of her childhood in Pondichery, Southern India, where she familiarised with the specific richness of modal music. During her teenage years in the Poitou (France), she discovered the power of traditional dancing and studied traditional music at the Regional Conservatory of Bocage Bressuirais before joining Nantes’ Conservatory, from which she graduated.
She then went along to win several contests, among which the 1st Prize of Lorient’s Interceltic Festival in 2008, and Amzer Nevez in all three categories: Music from Brittany Solo, Irish Music Solo, Music from Brittany Duet.
