Bio

Music meets philosophy and poetry.

Lina Quesada was born into a household of two sociology professors and a world of ideas and philosophy that she learned to love at a very young age. At the same time a natural talent for music was developing and these two elements finally collided in her song writing, which began at age 7 with songs for school musicals and family performances.

At age 20, Lina moved to Toronto Canada by herself, with a handful of original songs and an acceptance letter from the renowned Humber College music program.

Toronto had big things in store for her and in her short career Lina has shared stage with relevant names in the local scene like Rick Lazar and Irshad Khan. She’s had several of her songs in rotation as well as features and interviews in Internet and college radio stations.

After briefly fronting the band “Sweet Thursday” with producers Todd Dafoe and J. Miller in 2003, she returned to her own singer songwriter project taking her show all around town and recently teaming up with producer Ron Lopata (Simon Wilcox, Julie Black, Ron Sexsminth) to record her latest demo.

Lina currently resides in downtown Toronto where she spends her free time reading about politics or philosophy or enjoying Toronto’s art and music scene which continue to inspire and contribute different ideas, shapes and colours to her creative endeavours.
