Irma Linda Strickland, born in Santiago, Chile on September 4, 1974, known simply as "Linda", is an international singer and songwriter.
Linda moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1986. She was adopted by Peri and James Aldrich. Linda began dancing in local clubs in Green Bay Wisconsin where her love for music and dancing increased for the past 15 years. While she found the music of Marc Anthony and Selena both intriguing and comforting, she didn't really explore salsa or pop music until she got married with songwriter and producer Bobby D. Strickland from Track Universe Productions. After assisting her husband and producer Bobby D. Strickland in many compilations CD's and music events she soon became inspired to write her own love songs and poems in 1989.
Linda released her new album, El Amor Es Para Siempre (Love is Forever) in 2005. Her music and poems were featured by Wisconsin Public Radio three weeks in a row by Jairo Huilar. For Valentine's Day on February 12, 2006 Linda was also interviewed and had her poems and music heard by the public. She will be giving away her new CD's on air for fans beginning March 5, 2006.
Linda's determination and hard work has made her strive to become a very successful Latin female artist. Her music has reached the international, national, and regional markets. Her album, El Amor Es Para Siempre, features Linda singing both in Spanish and English.
