Bio

As a teenager Linda Lamb moved to Seattle from Woodstock, New York.Played in a few bands including one with Steve Fisk.
Linda left Seattle and moved to Europe to find a new sound. She sang with a few unknown pop groups in France and England but while in England she met her future husband,Chris Brick, moved to New York City and became involved in underground fashion.Linda put her musicical aspirations on the shelf for a bit and started working with her husband in his fashion company Demob.
After several failed attempts with different shops in New York , Linda and Chris opened a successful boutique called Smylonylon in Soho in the mid-nineties.They also started making mixed compilation tapes with Alex Gloor and sold them in the store. The tapes were a combination of 2 massive records collections and were an eceletic mix of obscure Easy Listening, Italio-disco, Electro and Punk.People came from all over the world to buy clothes and music from the strange little store on Lafayette Street.Chris and Linda had started a new trend in fashion and music.Designers like Muccia Prada,Tom Ford,Anna Sui,JeanPaul Gaultier and even Karl Lagerfield shopped in Smylonylon.Famous actresses models and musicians floated in taking the influence of the sights and sounds with them.Smylonylon was playing the music that influenced an entirely new look and sound in New York City and around the world in the late 90’s.
Linda decided to start writing and singing again. She took to the basement of the store and set up a little home studio for herself. For about a year or so Linda spent her time in the basement formulating her songs and playing them to whom ever came in and was willing to listen. She gave a tape of her song Hot Room to Cindy Greene(then of Fischerspooner)Cindy then gave the tape to Larry Tee,who then gave it to DJ Hell!Hell loved it and released Hot Room on Gigolo Records Compilation # 5 to rave reviews.
After Hot Room was released as a single with a Tiga remix in 2001, it became a big favorite in Europe and was released on many compilations through out the world.Linda then teamed up with Vitalic in 2002 ,whom she had met in New York during one of his tours, and released an EP with him under the name The Silures. The song from the EP, Fishnets, became a dance floor anthem in European clubs in 2003. Another song from the Silures EP, 21 Ghosts, was featured on Richard X’s Back to Mine CD.Gigolo Records has also released Linda’s song King Meadowlands on Gigolo Compilation # 7.
Linda has now moved to Los Angeles California, well Topanga really. If you don’t know where Topanga is go to Malibu first and look up in the hills and you will see Topanga. Its very beautiful there and perfect for writing.Right now Linda is playing gigs solo and also with her acoustic band in California.
She is aslo excited about the upcoming Silures album that is scheduled for release really soon.Well, hang in there, because most likely it will be released in January of 2008.
