Bio
Kamikaze Art is the debut album by singer-songwriter Lindiwe Suttle due out 4.4.2014. The album was recorded and originally produced by Ivan Georgiev in Berlin. Emmy award winning producer Kevy-D from Bashville Studios in New York and The Wiz created additional production and mixing of Kamikaze Art. The album was mastered in New York by Grammy nominated sound engineer Dave Kutch who has mastered top artists like Alicia Keys, John Legend, The Roots and Freshlyground. Kamikaze Art blends rock and soul with Berlin electronic undertones.
Kamikaze Art features songs about political corruption, the internal struggle between good and bad, temptations of music industry, bullying, and social justice songs. I coined the term 'Kamikaze Art' because I feel I have given all of myself to this album. Each song is deeply personal, open and honest, explains Lindiwe.
Songs from Kamikaze Art have already received international songwriting recognition. "Twilight" won the Grand Prize in R&B category of the John Lennon songwriting competition and was a semi-finalist in UK songwriting contest. The second single, "1000 Miles" was a Top 12 finalist beating out 20,000 entries in the biggest songwriting competition, ISC, and received an Honorary Mention award, and was also a finalist in Unsigned Only and UK Songwriting contest.
