At the age of 20, she auditioned in New York City for American Idol, Season 3 (2003/04). Following three grueling levels of competition, she was selected and flown to Hollywood to compete with the Top 117 Contestants out of 80,000 hopefuls! She competed and survived three more levels of competitions and ultimately finished as an Alternate to the “Top 32.”

Following a one year contract signed with American Idol, where she was contractually not permitted to sing in public, she joined a New Jersey based party band. She was with the band for a year and a half and performed at such venues as Sand’s Casino in Atlantic City and at the NASCAR Race at Dover International Speedway.

In May 2005, Lindsey was selected by 92.5 WXTU to compete in the Colgate Country Showdown (America’s Largest Country Music Talent Search). After three additional levels of competition, she finished first in the State of Pennsylvania in August 2005.

In August 2006, Lindsey was chosen as one of the top ten finalists to compete in a talent search hosted by American Idol’s own Justin Guarini and sponsored by 95.1 the WAYV/Radio Personality Paul Kelly. The show was held in the legendary Shell at the Trump Marina in Atlantic City. Lindsey placed first in the competition and won the grand prize of $5,000.

Lindsey’s newest venture is songwriting and music composition. She is currently working with a seasoned music producer to record a presentation demo. This CD is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2007!
