""Joe's " CD Review"

Who they are: Link Montana is the alter ego of Bruce Maclean who runs a recording studio in Orleans. The Rough Riders are Cape music veterans; Joey Spampinato of NRBQ fame plays bass and Jay Cournoyer of the High Kings plays drums.

What they sound like: Montana's first love is rockabilly, with plenty of affection left over for surf rock and 60's psychedelia, but there's no dust growing on his bands sound. Loose and lively, this is classic rock that sounds fresh.

Where to see them: Oct 6,12 and 26 th @ Joe's East Orleans. Oct 20th @ O'Shea's Dennis. - Cape Cod Times 9/21/07

Bio

After playing almost exclusively on Cape Cod for the last ten years, Link is now returning to the road to tell his story and to perform selections from his new CD with the Rough Riders featuring Joey Spampinato (NRBQ) on bass, Jay Cournoyer (The High Kings/The Elbows) on drums and Allan Scheinfeld (Electric Logs/ The Burning Sensations) on keys. Multiple decades in the bars of Cape Cod have fused them into a powerful live act that performs 50's and 60's music with authenticity and fire.
