""Look at God" Review"

The Gods have returned with some new s**t!!! #THANKYOU! King Beamon & Lewis bless us with “Look at God”. I thought Lewis’ newly released Red October was just gonna simmer for a little bit, but I’m definitely not complaining about another drop. Whoever’s not ridin’ with Beamon at this point is just stupid. He consistently switches flow with ease & you’ll only get murdered if you can’t keep up. There’s not too many rappers that can be that viscious and still sound so smooth and calm. I think that’s scary, and I like it. Esta also deserves much praise for putting Mrs. Cannon on the beat. - See more at: http://damagingthestreets.com/lionmmviii-lionmmviii-look-at-god-audio/#sthash.HFXTpg8O.dpuf - Damaging The Streets

""By The Gods" IMF Review"

Lewis and King Beamon who make the collective powerhouse known as LIONMMVIII present us with the 15 track tape titled By The Gods. With sponsorship from UnderLA, the two young men show the potential of something great. - IMFMag

"DJ Booth "Red October" video Review"

Hunting for Red October? No need to sweep the inky depths with sonar—you’ve found it, right here in the Booth. Part of a forthcoming street album, Lewis‘s latest single finds him departing from the fast-paced bars and atmospheric beats of previous features to give his experimental side free rein. Over a minimal instrumental driven by a menacing, distorted synth-bassline, the Jersey representative switches between threatening, slow-flowed bars and wordless, Auto-tuned crooning. Divine provides vocal support. The finished product feels reminiscent of Kanye‘s more avant-garde material, as well as the grimy aural textures of Ibn Inglor. Lewis and Taylor King direct the joint’s equally outré visual accompaniment. If this cut’s piqued your interest, keep it locked to our front page for the latest on Black Autumn 1993, which currently lacks a solid drop date. - DJ Booth

Bio

Reaching fans worldwide from Germany, to South Africa, to London and France, its almost unfathomable how New Jersey native Lewis and Midwestern maverick King Beamon from Milwaukee remain under the radar.

Both artists have consistently held their own as underground solo artists for years. According to Lewis, (Music) is the only thing Ive felt like Ive ever been the best at. Since coming together in 2008, Lewis & Beamon have spent immeasurable time working on their craft, creating other worldly  artistic visuals and always taking the roads less traveled with their music. Taking inspiration from live instruments and other artists like Prince and Jay-Z, its hard to put a label on LIONMMVIIIs style other than art in its purest form of hip hop.
