LIONS

I want to take you somewhere. Picture a dark room with enough light to see a trampoline. We climb on top and discover together that the trampoline is covered in jellybeans! As we begin to defy gravity, rainbow lights flood the room. The happiest 80s-vacation electronic pop music starts to play, and you're caught off guard by a sense of euphoria. (but you don't mind feeling vulnerable: its safe here.)

That's what LIONS is about.

The duo, made up of Dustin Binns and Joel Hardin, met in February of this year and from there a relationship blossomed. "Dustin said that he played music, and wanted to start a 'synth-pop' band and I lost it" says Joel. "I've always wanted created music under the moniker of 'synth-pop', when the same words that I've been using for years come out of his mouth, it was a feeling of serendipity" the keyboard player and vocalist recounts. "We want to make people feel overjoyed. We want to play the kind of shows where a couple goes there for a first date and then fall in love, because the atmosphere we produce allows them to let their guard down. And to dance, of course." Dustin adds.

Walking a very thin line between a vintage 80s pop sound and, dare I say, modern music, the two agree that they want you to smile, and that they want you to dance.
