Lips Like Braille

Lips Like Braille

BandRockPop

Lips Like Braille are a young band, playing accesible but lasting tunes. Fusing rock power with pop catchiness... Wait, that sounds like EVERY other band in the world. We play pop rock, but we play good pop rock, with decent lyrics. We're best described by giving us a listen.

Biography

Lips Like Braille, originally View By Ascendancy, was a solo project of now frontman Ty Harrington, recording on a mini portastudio in his bedroom. Realising he might be onto something that could sound okay in a live show environment, and after leaving his last band, he met up with members of other local bands, to start playing and writing. After a couple of line-up changes, the current line-up is touring with their "Pre-Crusade Demos", writing for their forthcoming EP, set for release in late 2013.

Lyrics

One Twenty

Written By: Ty Harrington

Her teeth are stamped across my neck. It fits the red on her chest that I left her with
Unfortunately, we probably won’t speak again.
I should know better than to do this all, I’m sticking to the girl, and bouncing off the wall
I can’t see straight, I can’t walk straight, I can’t talk straight, but there’s some positives
My room’s a lot warmer with her in it.
The drink seems to last a lot less, but whisky tastes better from off her neck.
Her clothes cover my bedroom floor, lined with bottles from the night before.
We’re in danger of torching this bed
The sparks from the chemistry we share, and the alcohol on my bed sheets
She’s chasing me.
This can’t last long, she swears.
It’s all about the chemicals, flooding my room.
The higher I get, the further I fall, the lower I feel but look,
She’s pouring Jack down my throat from sitting on top of me.
It’s times like these I’m glad I changed, because I didn’t know what I was missing.
I just let her breathe for me, as she chokes me out, and I’m suffocating
Under her naked body, writhing over me.
But I’m no gentleman, and I won’t be here in the morning.
My room’s a lot more fun with her in it.
The drink seems to last a lot less, but rum tastes better from between her legs.
Her clothes cover my bedroom floor, lined with bottles from the night before.
We’re in danger of torching this bed
The sparks from the chemistry we share, and the alcohol on my bed sheets
She’s chasing me.
“I can’t drink, ‘cause I sing.” “Smoking’s bad for your voice.”
Oh, fuck off.
Her clothes cover my bedroom floor, lined with bottles from the night before
Her clothes cover my bedroom floor.
Her clothes cover my bedroom floor, lined with bottles from the night before.
We’re in danger of torching this bed
The sparks from the chemistry we share, and the alcohol on my bed sheets
She’s chasing me.
