LIPTEASE Biography
Imagine a room with no windows. The colored lights are flashing, sweat is pouring down your face. There is barely room to move, bodies are touching and throbbing to the music. Your eyes are closed and your hands are up as you sway back and forth. You are free. You are alive… Oh yeah, and you’re probably listening to Liptease.

Artistic creation’s muse is reality. Life has a constant pulse driven by energy. Liptease captures that energy and crafts it into inventive and mind-blowing Electro-Pop.

• John (San Diego) - began singing in church and finds his greatest writing and singing influences in Soul music.

• Tom (Boston) - with his R&B and Funk approach to rhythm, “holds it down” on the drums with high energy and swagger.

• Michel (Paris) – has a guitar technique and writing style that has been influenced by the “French Touch”, Mozart, and his Latin roots.

Liptease was “birthed” at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, one of the leading contemporary music schools in the world. Taught by the best musicians, Liptease has grown from a concept to an independent work of art.

Paris & New York play host to a specific niche of music and underground culture. Liptease has been performing in both cities because they believe that these two “creativity hubs” reflect their vibe.

A vibe that is free, eclectic and has no boundaries. With many influences ranging from Electronic, R&B, to Neo-Pop, the band is rediscovering today’s musical heritage.

Along with their own tracks, Liptease performs and puts its own spin on songs like: Nature Boy, Billy Jean, and Paparazzi.

With a holistic approach, and with a flourishing presence on Myspace, Facebook & Twitter, the band aspires to commercialize their music in a way that is compatible with the new means of communication that new media outlets have made possible.

Having been contacted by two of the most important Electro-Pop producers in the world, the band decided to bring itself closer to Luis Entertainment (a French artistic production company) to promote and distribute its debut album.

Liptease is currently promoting its freshly finished EP through live shows and through major media outlets (WPIX New York and Liberation Journal Paris).

In February 2010, Liptease will release its first album and their projected summer tour will encompass the US and European market.
