"Liquid Violence - 1000 Mile Stare"

If you like menacing metal mayhem 1000 Mile Stare the new release from Liquid Violence (Morbid/bass & vocals, Bess/drums and Bailey/guitar & vocals) will quench your thirst. While this will definately not be everyone’s cup of tea, within the confines of the metal genre these guys know how to rock. The sound of impending doom rumble out of your speaker right from the first track “War Is On” and continues for an eardrum piercing eleven tracks total. “On The Road”, “Falling Down Drunk Again” and the tormenting tempo of “Alone” come up winning tracks as well. If you love metal in a head banging Metallica/Motorhead vein check out Liquid Violence and their new release 1000 Mile Stare. On the web check out www.liquidviolence.com

"LIQUID VIOLENCE 1000 Mile Stare"

New York's Liquid Violence have released their new CD, 1000 Mile Stare. There are many solid elements entailed in this heavy/thrash band, and only a few things that stop me from enjoying this CD more. I love the heaviness of each song-the riffs are brutal, and the drumming is well done and always in control.
The vocals are done decently for the most part. The main singer sounds a little like Max Cavalera (Ex-Sepultura/Soulfly), which definately isn't a bad thing, but there are times when the vocals seem off balance or awkward.
My main point of criticism lies in the lyrics. They are so simple and cliche', with lines like "Marching into war, it's the only thing I think I'm here for," and "As I walk through the valey of the dead, I hear voices inside my head." But aside from those nitpics, the songs satisfy my thirst for some good American metal. I'd have to say track 4, "Alone," is my favorite for it's laughing intro, but I am also fond of Ego Trip" and "On the Road."
If your into heavy or thrash metal, this is a worthy purchase. www.liquidviolence.com
