Bio
Lisa is a New York-based pop/singer-songwriter with a real talent for story-telling. Her clever and honest lyrics sound like pages from her journals.
As young as four years old, Lisa's mom predicted that her daughter would be a singer. At ten, she wrote her first song ... a note to a school crush. Talent shows, choirs, and plays followed. Poetry writing blossomed into songwriting. Her debut Ep "Beautiful Interruption" was released in June 2013. She can be seen performing at open mics at New York City venues such as The Duplex, and as a featured artist at the Starving Artist Cafe in the Bronx.
March 2012: Tied for 1st place at LawLawPalooza (NYC) with her original song "Naked Again".
April 2014: Women of Substance Radio begins to play, and continues for three months, the title track from "Beautiful Interruption" and "It Seemed Like A Good Idea (At The Time)".
Musical Influences but not limited to: Ingrid Michaelson, Diana Ross, the Motown Sound, 50's/ 60's music, Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, The Carpenters, Lionel Richie, Ray Lamontagne, Holly Williams, Sade, Sara Bareilles, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Billy Joel, Pink & The Civil Wars.
