From clubs throughout Europe to Afghanistan, to music in Holland, I have played acoustic guitar, sang, and fronted bands since the 70s'. When I lived and scoured the music scene in London, playing in a guitar duo, when I worked at CBS Records as a teenager, and in a band in Holland. I opened my eyes to all kinds of music. I fronted and co-wrote in several rock bands in the 70s and 80s in the U.S., influenced by rock-blues and "progressive classic" music. My music has evolved into more root-acoustic jazzy blues sound, plus r&b classics, like Aretha and other blues covers. I play acoustic guitars on most of my recordings. I also love a variety of Laura Nyro songs. with a dynamic vocal range, I cover many 60's tunes that other musicians may not perform. With my wide repertoire and love for blues-soul-jazz music, I bring to the table my own unique sound which I believe sets me apart from other artists. I've played kids songs and music for seniors in the local hospital in Gloucester, MA. I am influenced by numerous eclectic artists and bands, amongst the many: Etta James, Laura Nyro, Aretha Franklin, J. Geils, Robert Palmer, Willie Dickson, Van Morrison, Ella Fitzgerald, Basia, Tania Maria, Laura Fygi, Joao Gilberto, Antonio Jobim, Ohio Players, Barbara Streisand, Les McCann, Brian Auger, Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Michel Polnaref, Donovan, Bonnie Raitt, Ruth Brown, Billie Holliday, and many more. I weave in the 60s sounds with my own music as well as covers.
