Lisa Malone

Lisa grew up in Huntsville, AL. She has always had a passion for music and for expressing herself through the written word. Her poetry and short stories have been published in literary magazines. Over the years she has lived in Tuscon, outside of Los Angeles, and in Nashville.

Lisa likes and has been influenced by a wide variety of musical genres. When she writes, the words come first and the music flows from the words. She does not strive to write a certain 'type' of song or a certain genre but rather chooses an organic approach that lets the song grow and choose its own voice.

Currently residing back in Huntsville, Lisa performs either solo or with others. She has played in bands from time to time but strongly prefers the intimacy of acoustic music. She and her husband are planning to relocate permanently to the Seagrove Beach, FL area within the next four years, where she will continue to write and perform and collaborate with other local musicians.
